Driving to Bay Area Skydiving

Select the route closest to where you're coming from and follow the directions to our drop zone at Byron Airport.

From the West

Directions from the Bay Area

Driving to our Byron drop zone from the greater Bay Area.

  1. 1

    Take 580 East past Livermore, go over the Altamont Pass. 4 miles past the top of the Altamont, you will come to the "Grant Line Road/Byron" exit.

  2. 2

    At the bottom of the ramp turn left on Grant Line Road and travel 1.5 miles.

  3. 3

    Turn left at Mountain House Road (there is a bar on the left) and travel for 5 miles until it dead ends at Byron Highway.

  4. 4

    Turn left on Byron Highway, and follow approx. 2 miles.

  5. 5

    There will be an 's' turn in the road, at this 's' turn turn left on Holey Road.

  6. 6

    Follow Holey road until you are forced to turn right, and follow to Armstrong Rd.

  7. 7

    Turn left on Armstrong Rd. Follow to Falcon Way and turn left on Falcon way.

  8. 8

    We are the first hangar on the left.

From the Northeast

Directions from Stockton / Sacramento

Driving to Bay Area Skydiving from Stockton, Sacramento, and surrounding areas.

  1. 1

    Take Hwy 4 West. In Stockton that's the Charter Way Exit.

  2. 2

    After about 18 miles, and just after the town of Discovery Bay, you'll come to a traffic light just after a sweeping right hand turn.

  3. 3

    Turn left here onto Byron Highway and follow for 6 miles through the town of Byron.

  4. 4

    Shortly after leaving Byron, you will see a Cafè on the left, immediately across to the right is Byron Hot Springs Road.

  5. 5

    Turn right on Byron Hot Springs Road and follow for 1 mile turning right on Armstrong Rd. Follow to Falcon Way and turn left on Falcon way.

    We are the first hangar on the left.

From the Southeast

Directions from Modesto / Oakdale / Manteca

Driving directions for visitors approaching Byron from Modesto, Oakdale, Manteca, and nearby communities.

    Take 205 West towards 580.

  2. 2

    Exit at Tracy Mall.

  3. 3

    Turn left on Naglee Road.

  4. 4

    Turn right on Grant Line Road.

  5. 5

    Turn right on Byron Hwy, and follow for 10 miles.

  6. 6

    There will be an 's' turn in the road shortly after crossing a large canal, at this 's' turn turn left on Holey Road.

  7. 7

    Follow Holey road until you are forced to turn right, and follow to Armstrong Rd.

  8. 8

    Turn left on Armstrong Rd. Follow to Falcon Way and turn left on Falcon way.

  9. 9

    We are the first hangar on the left.

From the North

Directions from Benicia / Northeast Bay / Davis

Driving directions for visitors arriving from Benicia, the Northeast Bay, Davis, and surrounding areas.

  1. 1

    From 680 take Hwy 4 East.

  2. 2

    Take the Hwy 4 bypass.

  3. 3

    Continue past Balfour and Marsh Creek to Camino Diablo.

  4. 4

    Make a left turn on Camino Diablo.

  5. 5

    Next make a right turn on Byron Highway.

  6. 6

    Shortly after leaving Byron you will see a Cafè on the left, immediately across to the right is Byron Hot Springs Road.

    Turn right on Byron Hot Springs Road and follow for 1 mile then make a right on Armstrong Rd follow for 1/2 mile make a left on Falcon Way.

    We are the first hangar on the left.

Public Transit + Rideshare

BART and Uber from the Bay Area

Travel via BART to Pittsburg/Baypoint Station. From there, an Uber/Lyft can take you the 26.4 miles to Bay Area Skydiving.

Transit and rideshare availability can change, so check current transportation options before traveling.

Give yourself enough time to reach Byron before your scheduled arrival time.
