Moon phase and time of Sunset
The calendar below shows the moon phase and time of sunset for the Byron Airport & dropzone (Lat 37.83°N, Long 121.63°W ). As a rule the last load must depart 25 minutes prior to sunset. This ensure all jumpers are down before sunset.
The phases of the moon can be used for determining a good time for night jumps. Night jumps are traditionally done on weekends when there is a full moon.
