USPA's Accelerated Freefall method of skydiving includes practical instruction on climb-out and exit of the aircraft, freefall, canopy flight, landing, and emergency procedures. There are three types of first-time jump courses from which a novice can choose from: tandem, static-line and harness-hold. People use to call harness-hold jumps accelerated free fall (AFF) jumps in the United States. In order to make a jump safe, skydivers have to do two actions every time: firstly, they must open the parachute in time and secondly, they must land in a safe location. Many schools offer video of the freefall and landing. Tiny Broadwick, another professional parachutist in the U.S., became the first woman to jump from an airplane in 1913 and the first to make a freefall in 1914. Finding a good skydiving school might be a great first step. You should first investigate very well the school you want to atend. A great thing about skydiving schools is that most of them offer first jump opportunities. The modern history of skydiving began in the late 18th century with Jacques Garnerin from France who performed display jumps from balloons flying over Europe. When Making an AFF Skydive The student exits the aircraft with two USPA AFF Instructors. Our experts are considered to be the best in their field. The Tandem skydiving instructor controls the whole jump from exit through freefall, piloting the canopy, and landing. After you calculate all your time and cash available for skydiving, you will be able to choose between three first jump skydiving methods. Static line, tandem and AFF
