Hundreds of tandem freefall, static line, and AFF freefall skydives are made every year at Bay Area Skydiving, people from First Jump Walnut Creek love Bay Area Skydiving. Though this web site is oriented towards first time skydivers, we welcome both new and experienced jumpers to our little drop zone. Bay Area Skydiving in California! Do it now! With the Tandem Skydive, both the student and the instructor are attached to the same parachute system. After enjoying the beauty and serenity of the approximately five to seven minutes of canopy flite you and your tandem instructor will fly the parachute for a soft, easy landing. Some Tandem skydiving training programs instruct first-time jumpers on how and when to deploy the main canopy themselves. In these programs, about half of the first-jump students succeed. However, the tandem master remains primarily responsible for safe and timely parachute deployment. We make over 10,000 freefall parachute jumps annually at Bay Area Skydiving.
